Router v2 for qaul.net
Open source · networking- Who depends on it
- People messaging over qaul's mesh network, phone to phone, when there's no internet.
- What it has to get right
- Every message finds a path across the mesh and arrives, especially at the moments it matters most.
- What we built
- A new routing protocol for qaul, with node manifests, delegation, delta encoding and next-hop routing. We tested it with a framework that simulates whole networks, including links that fail. We also built qauld-ctl, a command-line tool for controlling the qaul daemon.
